Hello everybody.
Ready to begin participating? This year we are going to count on a new member who has accepted to coordinate the practical part of the seminar: Oliver Woolley
He should provide material for and facilitate the four seminars he's running while leaving the applied technical side for the practical sessions when we will be working on our own.
Additional to the info you have already read on then CRP webpage, he has stated the following:
1. The official title: "Information and Communication Technologies in the Classroom"
- explore the above at the practical, theoretical and personal level
- generate a participative blog covering the seminar
- create blogs for use in the classroom (one per participant)
- exchange experiences of applying ICT in the classroom
- develop ICT resources for educational use (minimum one resource/lesson plan per participant)
- work on English language and communication skills
3. The Sessions will be organised as shown below:
- Session 1 - Orientation (run by coordinator)
- Session 2 - Introduction to ICT + Blogs and their applications
- Session 3 - Practical (run by coordinator)
- Session 4 - ICT resources in the classroom: sharing ideas and developing educational application
- Session 5 - Practical (run by coordinator)
- Session 6 - Practical (run by coordinator)
- Session 7 - Putting ICT in its global context: a general discussion of important phenomena such as Wikipedia, Google and Microsoft
- Session 8 - Practical (run by coordinator)
- Session 9 - Presentation of participants' classroom blogs and applied ICT teaching tools combined with feedback, constructive comments and debate
During Session 1 I hope we will be able to begin to make contributions to it.
